Atomizer, being the engine room of vape, turning the e-liquid to vapor is a vital part of any vaping device. It is divided into 3 main categories; Disposable Atomizers, Replaceable coil head Atomizers and Rebuildable Atomizers (RBA).
An atomizer unit containing a deck upon which the coil and the build (popularly known as wick) are mounted is called a Rebuildable Atomizer. The term RBA literally denotes the process of physically wrapping the coil, affixing it to the system, and the addition of wick which allows the smooth vapor production.
RBAs available with varying characteristics and properties are further categorized. Each type is labelled with a distinctive acronym that starts with the letter “R” that stands for Rebuildable. RTA, RDA and RDTA are various Rebuildable Atomizers available.
RTA (Rebuildable Tank Atomizer) has a tank to hold the e-juice. You need to drip the liquid onto the coil in case of a RDA (Rebuildable Drip Atomizer). RDTA(Rebuildable Dripping Tank Atomizer) being a combination of both RDA and RTA, has a tank to hold the e-juice and unlike RDA, has the Auto dripping mechanism.
This brings the idea about both RDA and RTA and their basic differences.
Rebuildable Tank Atomizer (RTA)
This is a type of RBA with a posted deck that is enclosed by a sealed metal chamber. It is encompassed with a tank pool that contains the e-juice. A chimney linked to the chamber cap routes the vapor to the drip tip. Gravity and pressure together ensures the push of the e-juice into the tank , down to the chamber cap and finally up through the channels present around the girth of the deck. By the process of diffusion, the e-liquid is passed from the ends of the soaking wick placed in the channels to the coils for vaporization.

CONs of a RTA Tank :
- The ability to replace and build coils is required for the user.
- You need to empty and clean the tank prior to introduction of new flavour.
Rebuildable Dripping Atomizer (RDA)
This is the type of RBA with a deck and posts to fasten the coil and to provide a closed circuit for electric energy. The liquid is dripped directly onto the coil or wick by the user by removing the cap and replacing it before vaping. A small reservoir, sometimes present under the coil assembly, holds a minute quantity of e-juice (<1ml).
In terms of purity and intensity of the vapor output, RDA is the best vaping hardware unit known, making it ideal for cloud chasers.
